MJ Photographics & COVID-19

Dear MJ Photographics Clients,

With the ongoing COVID-19 developments in Nova Scotia I wanted to clarify my cancellation policy and highlight some changes that will be in effect for all sessions.

As stated online the $50 deposit for headshot sessions is non-refundable. Previously, cancelled sessions could still be rebooked under the same deposit up to two weeks after the original shoot date. This policy has now been extended. In the event of a session cancellation by myself or the client I will be extending the deposit rebook policy for 4 weeks. Any cancelled sessions can be rebooked without paying a second deposit until 4 weeks after your original session date.

All sessions can now be cancelled up to 3 hours before the start time and will be offered a rebooking up to 4 weeks after your original session date under the same deposit. Sessions cancelled within 3 hours will forfeit their deposit rebook and will have to pay a second deposit should they like to rebook.

Please note that the rebooking policy allows for cancelled sessions to be rebooked up to 4 weeks after the original session date, which means the rebooking process has to happen within those 4 weeks, however, the actual shoot can be rebooked for any date, even one after those 4 weeks. (For example, if a client cancels a session booked for August 2nd 2021, they can rebook the session for December 20th 2021 under the same deposit as long as they go through the rebooking process by August 30th 2021, which is 4 weeks after their original session date.)

I will keep all clients up to date on any cancellations because of my health or government policies requiring building closures or wide-spread self-isolation. I do ask that in return clients keep me updated on their health and cancel their sessions and rebook of any of the following happens:

1. You feel unwell and/or have even mild symptoms listed on the Nova Scotia COVID-19 site. Or you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for the results of a test. Honestly, you’ll probably enjoy the shoot and the results more if you’re feeling your best on the day!
2. You live with someone who has any of the above symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19 or is waiting for the results of a test.
3.You have recently been to any of the Covid exposure sites listed on the Nova Scotia Health Authority site here.
4. You have travelled outside the province in the two weeks before your shoot date and are not fully vaccinated.

I am fully vaccinated and still get regularly rapid tested for Covid and encourage my clients to get vaccinated when possible and test regularly.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me!

All the best,
